A Dance at the New Moon Feast

Morning, the sun will look out o'er the hills
Spreading it's golden yellow quilt
Can such a day like this surely bring forth the gladdest tidings?
Will such a time be set to see her face?

A maiden so fair the roses blush and wish they had her beauty
But lo she's away in far lands
And how much he wished for a chance at the new moon feast to join her in a dance

Twilight, the moon shines through the silver clouds
Pressing a scale without a weight
Can such a night like this surely usher in new beginnings?
Will she return from such a far and lonely place?

Flowers gathered together will wilt and die
He gathers more but picks off the pedals one by one
